Comprehensive Care
Colorado Springs
Why do we take a comprehensive orthodonticcare approach?
Our team believes in providing personalized care, treating not only the symptoms that may have brought you into our office, but also the cause of those symptoms. We take time to listen and talk with you. We know that even minor oral health problems can affect your whole body.
Our team will provide you with a thorough and honest evaluation of your overall oral health, ensuring that you make an educated and informed decision about your care.
How does the health of my mouth affect my overall health?
Your mouth affects your body in many ways, each with a significant impact on your health. The three main concerns we look out for are bite alignment, periodontal disease, and mercury fillings.
- Bite Alignment-If your bite is not in alignment you may experience TMJ/TMD symptoms, such as vertigo, ringing of the ears, muscle stress, and discomfort in your face, neck, shoulders and even your back.
- Periodontal Disease-If your gums are not healthy, they leave an open pathway for the bacteria in your mouth to enter your bloodstream. Periodontal problems, even minor ones, have been linked to heart disease, increased risk of stroke, and premature and low birth-weight babies.
- Mercury Fillings-Mercury gasses released from amalgam fillings have been linked to Alzheimer's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and other neurological disorders.
How does this treatment philosophy differ from other offices?
Some dental offices that participate with insurance contracts are often held back from offering comprehensive care. Dental insurance is meant to assist with the cost of basic dental care by covering routine services, such as X-rays, cleanings, and, annual exams. Dental insurance often does not cover comprehensive treatment, so these dental offices are limited in the scope and depth of care they can provide.
Dr. Solich has chosen to see the larger picture of total oral healthcare. He takes a proactive approach to restoring and maintaining optimal dental health. As the result, not only are your teeth healthier, but you are healthier. Click here to learn about our affordable financing options.
