Traditional orthodontics, i.e., braces, takes approximately 2 to 3 years to complete. Porcelain veneers can be designed and place in approximately 2 to 3 weeks. With porcelain veneers, Dr. Solich can correct a variety of dental issues, including:

Who are porcelain veneers for?
Not everyone is a good candidate for porcelain veneers. For instance, if your teeth are too crowded, Invisalign clear braces might be a better option. Dr. Solich will thoroughly examine your teeth and decide whether veneers are your best course of action.
How are porcelain veneers placed?
If Dr.Solich decides porcelain veneers are right for you, he'll custom design the veneers at your first visit. Some patients require pre-placement procedures, such as teeth whitening, but a basic formula exists for placing porcelain veneers.
During your first appointment:
The enamel on the front sides of the teeth will be trimmed back very slightly, to make room for the veneers (about the thickness of an eggshell). An impression, or mold, will be made of the trimmed-back teeth, which will be used by a dental lab to create the veneers. Dr. Solich will decide whether to make temporary veneers for you to wear while waiting for your veneers to arrive (usually about a week or so). This is an individual decision and you can ask about it before the whole veneer procedure begins.
During your second appointment:
Dr. Solich will adjust and trim the veneers until they fit properly, and then bond them to the front teeth using use a shade of cement that matches your tooth color. To ensure a strong bond, Dr. Solich will etch the surface of your teeth with a gel that creates microscopic roughness. When the veneers are in place, the bonding cement is cured by a special light.
During your third appointment:
Dr. Solich will evaluate how your gums have responded to the veneers. If anymore adjustments are needed, they can be done at this appointment.
